About Me.

I’m a practitioner working at the intersection of education, technology, and learner experience, with more than 20 years of leadership across higher education, civic government, nonprofits, and startups. My work focuses on building accessible, high-impact learning experiences that respond to workforce needs and support lifelong learning.

I
currently serve as Senior Director of Professional and Personal Development at Duke University, where I lead a diverse portfolio of non-credit programs including nonprofit management, professional certificates, and lifelong learning initiatives. My approach blends strategic planning, program design, and faculty engagement with a strong emphasis on equity, learner outcomes, and sustainable growth.

Earlier in my career, I held senior roles in educational technology and client services, including as Associate Director of Academic Computing at UNC Chapel Hill and as Assistant Executive Director for CRM at the City of Raleigh. I also co-founded Learning Boxes, an immersive learning venture for healthcare and education professionals.

I began my international education leadership journey in the UAE as Associate Director of IT and Educational Technology at Zayed University, where I helped establish university-wide systems and academic support teams across two campuses.

My academic background includes a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Leadership and Learning in Organizations from Vanderbilt University, and a Master’s in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University. I’m passionate about the future of lifelong learning, microcredentials, and how technology can be meaningfully applied to improve access, quality, and impact in education.

Outside of work, I’ve served for nearly 20 years as a volunteer board member with South Orange Rescue Squad in North Carolina. I’m also a proud Canadian with deep roots in Calgary, Alberta, and remain engaged in national and international conversations around adult learning, digital transformation, and value-driven education. I am an avid sports photographer for high school and NCAA sporting events.
